Metallica have once again extended their Las Vegas Sphere residency, taking the multi-year run to a massive 24 shows.
After initially announcing eight October 2026 Life Burns Faster concerts at the Sphere last week, the heavy metal titans have added a series of additional dates in recent days including 10 shows on Thursday.
Metallica’s new Sphere dates are as follows:
4th and 6th February 2027
18th and 20th February 2027
25th and 27th February 2027
4th and 6th March 2027
11th and 13th March 2027
Metallica will now perform to a gargantuan 480,000 people at the 24 shows, and Life Burns Faster is currently the fifth-longest residency to be held at the Sphere behind Eagles, Backstreet Boys, Dead & Company and U2.
Eagles hold the record for the biggest residency with a whopping 58 shows.
Metallica will continue the No Repeat Weekend tradition that began with the M72 World Tour, with no songs repeated on each Thursday and Saturday throughout the course of the run.
Life Burns Faster set lists will span the entire catalogue, enhanced by the venue’s immersive technologies that will allow you to experience the ’Tallica sound in new experiential dimensions.
Metallica co-founder/drummer Lars Ulrich said when the residency was announced: "About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought 'We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!'
"This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months’ time, and way f---in’ psyched to go next level!"
