Mark Tremonti announces festive album 'Christmas Classics New & Old'
It's released in October
Alter Bridge, Creed and Tremonti star Mark Tremonti has announced his first ever Christmas album.
Released on Friday 27th October 2023, ‘Christmas Classics New & Old’ features Mark’s interpretation of nine holiday classics and one original song recorded especially for the album that Mark says will “put a smile on your face, make you feel good, and get you into the Christmas spirit.”
Produced by Carey Deadman, the album sees Mark join forces with the same orchestra who performed on his 2022 charity album ‘Tremonti Sings Sinatra’, which raised money for the National Down Syndrome Society.
Tracks covered on ‘Christmas Classics New & Old’ include ‘The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’, ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘The First Noel’, ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’, ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Let It Snow.’
Mark Tremonti’s own original song is called ‘Christmas Morning’, and a description of the track reads: ‘Piano twinkles as a marching band drum roll picks up the momentum. As if changing from black-and-white to Technicolor, horns herald a wonderfully warm picture on the track’s finale... "My lady and me will make sure our children believe in the glory of Christmas morning."’
The Christmas album announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that Creed are reuniting in 2024 after more than a decade away.
The band, consisting of vocalist Scott Stapp alongside current Alter Bridge members Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips, are reuniting on the Summer of ‘99 Cruise, which sails from Miami to the Bahamas next April.
