Stiff Little Fingers' Jake Burns to host Anarchy in the UK - 50 Years of Punk show on Planet Rock
The documentary traces punk's roots back to its origins in 1976
Stiff Little Fingers frontman Jake Burns will host a special two-part documentary called Anarchy in the UK - 50 Years of Punk on Planet Rock.
Written by esteemed rock music journalist, editor, broadcaster, presenter and producer Phil Alexander, over the course of two hours Anarchy in the UK - 50 Years of Punk traces the genre's roots back to 1976 and explores the cultural moments that ignited the anarchy.
Featuring music from Sex Pistols, The Stranglers, New York Dolls and more, Part 1 the documentary airs at 9pm on Wednesday 9th September.
Anarchy in the UK - 50 Years of Punk on Planet Rock: Part 2 continues to explore the seismic impact punk made on the music world and beyond, and it follows at 9pm on Wednesday 16th September.
