Planet Rock's Ian Danter to spend the night in prison… for charity
To raise money for Cash for Kids
Planet Rock presenter Ian Danter will be locked up in a haunted prison on Thursday night (24th September) all for a very worthwhile cause.
Dants is one of 40 inmates being locked up for 12 hours at HM Prison Shrewsbury at part of Cash for Kids’ fundraising initiative, Set Me Free.
The donations each inmate receives will determine how comfortable their spell inside will be. Will any of the inmates reach their target and be set free?
All funds raised will come to Cash for Kids to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across the West Midlands.
“Some say I should have been put away long before now for liking KISS, so they’ve finally got their wish! I’m thinking of trying to sneak some contraband in as a means of bartering!,” says Dants.
“Looking forward to hearing the heavy clank of the cell door behind me leaving me with a concrete mattress and a bucket…I’ve stayed in worse places!!
“Hope folk can support me with a donation so we can help out needy children as we approach a very important time of the year for their happiness and wellbeing.”
