Bernie Marsden live album 'Stage' set for release
The fifth and final album in Bernie Marsden’s Inspirations Series
A posthumous Bernie Marsden live album called ‘Stage’ will be released on Friday 21st August 2026 via Conquest Music.
‘Stage’ is the fifth and final album in the Whitesnake legend's Inspirations Series, following in the footsteps of ‘Kings’ (2021), ‘Chess’ (2021), ‘Trios’ (2022) and ‘Icons’ (2025).
As the album suggests, ‘Stage’ captures the late-great Bernie Marsden where he shone brightest, performing on stage in front of his beloved fans.
Featuring 15 tracks, the live album was captured at four very different live performances each showcasing facets of Bernie’s on-stage brilliance.
Each concert is dedicated to a side of vinyl, so listeners can appreciate the different Bernie experiences which were on offer.
The performances are as follows:
The Radcliffe Centre, Buckingham 2008 illustrates a gentle acoustic presentation, complete with strings.
Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea 2019 has Bernie in full electric mode with a brass accompaniment that swings as the boat sways.
Notodden Blues Festival, Norway 1996 is a stellar line up including Snowy White, Tony Ashton, David Levy & Henry Spinetti.
Under The Bridge, London 2020 sees a full six-piece band and very special guest Joe Bonamassa.
Available to pre-order RIGHT HERE, ‘Stage’ is available as a limited edition 2LP Gatefold sleeve set and on 2CD Deluxe Digipack with a 16-page booklet featuring notes from Steelhouse Festival founders Max and Mikey.
Orders from Bernie’s official store also include an exclusive free collectors’ card.
Conquest Music's Alan Bambrough says: "Bernie Marsden was such a charismatic and witty person. In his understated way, he would manage to have any audience engaged and involved within a couple of songs.
"We felt that his Inspirations Series would be incomplete without including a glimpse of that magic that he conjured up on stage.
"There were so many great live recordings in his archive that it was tough to limit the album to just two discs sampling four different shows."
As a taster for ‘Stage’, a five-track digital EP is available now and it’s led by an incredible live version of ‘Walking By Myself’ from the Under the Bridge featuring dual guitars from Bernie’s friend and kindred spirit Joe Bonamassa.
The EP also features four songs – ‘Wheels Within Wheels’, ‘Hold On (I Feel Our Love Is Changing)’, ‘Working for the CSA’ and ‘Funny People’ – that don’t appear on the full ‘Stage’ album.
