Directed for screen by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, with the live concert directed by Tim van Someren, Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning was produced by Mercury Studios, the world’s leading music-focused content studio.

"Back to the Beginning was a once-in-a-lifetime event that will go down in music history,” says Sharon Osbourne, who oversaw the legendary concert and executive-produced the film.

“Ozzy suffered from chronic pain during the final six years of his life. His only wish was to perform one last time to thank his fans and say goodbye. It was an incredible day when his peers in the rock world descended on Aston from all over the globe to celebrate his legendary talent and extraordinary legacy.”

Tristan Whitlam of Mercury Studios adds: “Back to the Beginning is a remarkable document of a day that brought the music community together on an extraordinary scale. For Mercury Studios, the opportunity to preserve these performances and the stories surrounding them was incredibly meaningful.

“These special home entertainment and music releases gives fans the opportunity to revisit that historic day and experience the performances, tributes and emotion of the occasion for years to come.”

Ozzy Osbourne died aged 76 just 17 days after he said goodbye to fans at Villa Park.
