Man arrested after Marlow crash leaves 12-year-old boy with serious life-changing injuries

A man has been arrested after a crash in the Buckinghamshire town of Marlow left a 12-year-old boy with serious life-changing injuries.
Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation after emergency services were called at around 7.50pm last night (Saturday 15th August 2026) to Station Road, where a grey Mercedes AMG had collided with the boy.
The driver, aged 28 and from Slough, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Sergeant Richard Martin from Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Unit is leading the investigation and says any piece of information could be crucial.
“The collision has left a young boy with serious, life-changing injuries, and our thoughts are with him and his family at this incredibly difficult time," he explained.
They’re asking anyone who saw the crash or noticed the Mercedes in the Station Road, High Street, or Marlow Road areas before it happened to get in touch.
