The husband of a GP who served members of the royal family has appeared in court charged with her murder near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
Dr Hannah Cain, 45, known professionally as Dr Hannah Terry, was found dead in an upstairs bedroom at her home in Fern Hill, Dersingham, in the early hours of 4th October.
Mark Cain, also 45 and living at the same address, was arrested and charged with the murder of Dr Cain.
Cain appeared in front of Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where he was remanded in custody and told his case would be transferred to King's Lynn Crown Court the following day.
The court heard from prosecutor Jackie Hanlon that paramedics attended the scene after the police were contacted at 2.25am on 4th October.
She said Dr Cain had injuries suggesting blunt force to the head and possible neck compression.
Dr Cain was listed on the Grimston Medical Centre team, serving as part of a pool of doctors regularly on call for members of the royal family, as first reported by The Sun newspaper.
She was a qualified GP for eight years and operated a cosmetics business called Norfolk Sky Aesthetics.
