Man charged after double murder in St Leonards
Adrian Horton, aged 66, and Uschi Schild, aged 46, were found dead earlier this week
A man has been charged with murder after the deaths of a 66-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman at an address in St Leonards.
The incident was reported shortly after 4.30am on 30th June when officers were called to Seven Acre Close.
Adrian Horton, aged 66, and Uschi Schild, aged 46, were found deceased at the property.
Their next of kin have been informed.
Sean Gray, 58, was arrested at a Battle Road address and is charged with two counts of murder.
Gray, who has no fixed address, is scheduled to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 3rd July.
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera described the case as a tragic incident, expressing sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims.
He noted, "This remains a fast-moving investigation as we work to establish the full circumstances surrounding these deaths."
Investigations indicate a known association between the suspects and victims, with no further individuals sought in connection with the case.
Officers are actively conducting inquiries at the site and nearby areas, maintaining an increased police presence to support ongoing investigations.
Detective Mendis-Gunasekera extended gratitude to the officers involved and the community for their cooperation and patience.
