Two killed in horror Aberdeenshire crash - others in hospital

A man and a woman have been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire.
Police said a number of others, including two children, had been taken to hospital for treatment.
The accident took place on the A952 between the Toll of Birness and Mintlaw, near Clola, at about 7.25pm on Saturday.
A grey Land Rover Evoque and a black Vauxhall Corsa collided, sparking a major emergency response.
A 24-year-old man, a passenger in the Corsa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Corsa, a 24-year-old woman, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she was pronounced dead.
The occupants of the Evoque, a man aged 62 and a woman aged 61, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Two boys aged seven and five in the car were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed for crash investigation work.
Sergeant Pete Henderson said: “Our thoughts are with the families of those who died and everyone affected by this incident.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.
“We are also asking anyone driving in the area around the time of the crash to please check any dash-cam footage they have to see if it has captured something that could assist with our investigation.”
