Missing Aberdeenshire man thought to be travelling on foot in Perthshire

An Aberdeenshire man missing in Highland Perthshire is thought to be travelling on foot.
Sandy Scott Barron, from Inverbervie, was reported missing at around 5:30pm on Wednesday 22nd July, after his car, a black Dacia Duster, was found unoccupied on a track off the B846 between Tummel Bridge and Foss.
Police believe the vehicle has been there since Monday.
Specialist search officers in the area
Officers say enquires have established that the 37-year-old was seen on foot in the area south of Dunalastair Water, between where his car was found and Kinloch Rannoch, around 4:30pm and 8:30pm on Wednesday.

Sandy is described as being white, around 5ft 11in tall and of a slim build with short brown hair. His clothing is unknown but, he's believed to have last been wearing dark clothing.
'He may have attempted to hitchhike'
Inspector James Longden said: "We are grateful to everyone who has helped with our efforts to trace Sandy so far and I would urge anyone who may have seen or spoken to him to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
"We believe he is travelling on foot after leaving his car near to Foss and it is possible he may have also attempted to hitchhike.
"Given the rural nature of the area I would urge local residents with a shed or outbuilding where someone may be able to seek shelter to check these for any signs of anyone having used it.
"Anyone who believes they may be able to help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2645 of 22 July, 2026."
