Man due in court following death of woman in Aberdeen
The man was arrested and charged after a 54-year-old woman was found hurt in a property on Bedford Road on Sunday, and died at the scene
A man is due to appear in court following the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
Emergency crews were called to reports of an injured woman in a property on Bedford Road at around 7.30pm on Sunday, and the 54-year-old died at the scene.
Police have now confirmed a 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged, and is expected at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
“Around 7.30pm on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, we received a report of a woman being found injured at a property in Bedford Road.
“Emergency services attended, but the 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 6 January, 2026.”
