Drugs worth thousands found on A90
Police also raided an Aberdeen property at the weekend
Drugs with a street value of more than £22,000 were seized by North East police at the weekend.
A car was stopped on the A90 at Bridge of Muchalls on Friday, where £13,600 of cocaine and heroin was found. A 26 year old man and a 26 year old woman were charged as a result and are anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Monday, 14 August.
The next day, working on a tip-off, officers raided a property in Aberdeen’s Stafford Street. Cocaine valued at £9000 was recovered along with more than £10,000 cash. As a result a 33 year old man has been charged and is anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Monday, 14 August.
Detective Inspector Allen Shaw said: "This was an intelligence led operation which involved the assistance of specialist officers.
