Cyclist in life-threatening condition after crash with car in Inverallochy
Police seek witnesses and dash-cam footage following Aberdeenshire accident
A 51-year-old cyclist is in a life-threatening condition following a crash involving a Mazda CX-30 car on Summerfield Place in Inverallochy, Aberdeenshire.
The collision occurred around 7.50am on Wednesday, 1st July.
Emergency services rushed the cyclist to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Driver Arrested in Connection With Road Traffic Offence
The driver, a 37-year-old woman, was not injured but was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and was later released pending further enquiries.
Investigations led to the closure of the road until around 4.50pm.
Police Appeal for Information and Footage
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
“We are also asking members of the public to check any private CCTV they have to see if something has been captured that could assist with our investigation and for drivers to make contact if they have dash-cam footage.”
