Arrest made after Aberdeen player badly injured by broken seat
The incident happened following the game with Dundee United Saturday
A man's been arrested after Aberdeen star Jack MacKenzie was badly hurt by a broken seat thrown after their match against Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday
First Minister John Swinney slammed the incident as totally unacceptable as the Dons defender needed stitches for a head wound
Police say the 31-year-old's been charged with reckless conduct and is due at Dundee Sheriff Court tomorrow
Superintendent Ray Birnie said: “Any type of disorder has a huge impact on the public and the overwhelming majority of football supporters who simply want to enjoy these occasions safely.
“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and such acts which endanger people will be fully investigated.
“Officers have worked quickly to make this arrest and I would like to thank the public and both clubs, for their continued support and assisting us during our enquiries.”
