Detectives in Aberdeen are investigating two high-value housebreakings that are believed to be linked.

The first incident took place between 28th August 2026 and 9th September 2026 at a property located in the King’s Gate area, where forced entry led to the theft of jewellery.

Another incident occurred on 10th September 2026, between 11:30am and 2:50pm, at a property on Newburgh Road.

This time, jewellery and cash were stolen after forced entry into the home.

Authorities are focusing attention on a black Ford Ecosport SUV that is believed to be connected with the crimes. (Pictured above)

Detective Constable Lewis MacIver said, "We are treating these incidents as linked and believe the same people were involved in these housebreakings."

"We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle, a dark-coloured Ford SUV, in the Bridge of Don or King’s Gate areas during the end of August or beginning of September," he added.

Police are urging anyone with private CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam systems to review their footage and provide relevant information to the authorities promptly.

Residents are also advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police immediately.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1944 of 10th September.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
