A major drugs bust in Aberdeen has discovered cannabis and cash worth almost almost £2 million.
It took place on Wednesday, 1st April, with police uncovering cultivations across Elmbank Terrace, Bothwell Road, and Broomhill Road.
The drugs have an estimated street value exceeding £1.8 million, while a separate five-figure sum of cash was also seized.
Three men aged 30, 31, and 43 have been arrested and charged in connection with the operation.
They were due at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, 2nd April 2026.
Police vow on tackling drugs
Detective Constable Blair Ramage emphasises the police's commitment to tackling illegal drugs.
"This significant recovery highlights our commitment to tackling illegal drugs in our communities,"
"We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the drugs trade and preventing them being circulated on the streets of Scotland."
"This substantial seizure underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy."
He's urging people to report any concerns about drug activities in their areas to police immediately.
"We would ask anyone with information or concerns about drugs in the community or a property in their area, possibly being used for this purpose, to contact us," Ramage said.
Advice to Landlords
Landlords in the private rental sector are also asked to vet tenants carefully and stay attentive to those who prefer cash payments. Regular checks on rented properties are advised.
