Man charged as police discover massive cannabis haul in Woodside

A man has been arrested and charged in Aberdeen following the discovery of over 300 cannabis plants in a property.

Officers executed a warrant at Don Street, Woodside, at around 11.30am on Monday, 22nd June.

The cannabis plants found have an estimated street value of £320,000.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, and the man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 23rd June.

Police stance on drug offences

Sergeant Mark Rennie of the Community Action Team emphasises the significance of the recovery.

“This was a significant recovery which demonstrates our continued commitment to the Serious and Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious and Organised Crime Strategy,"

"We remain determined to disrupt those involved in the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our communities."
