Edinburgh are you ready?

That’s the proclamation from the Gallagher brothers as Oasis get set for three sell-out shows at Murrayfield.

An estimated 70,000 fans are expected to pack into the stadium each night - which could see a new record set for the largest stadium gig in Scottish history.

They’re playing in the country for the first time in 16 years tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday.

While their exact set-list has not been revealed as yet, on previous dates the band has performed classics such as Wonderwall, which propelled the rockers into stardom, as well as Morning Glory, Talk Tonight, D'you Know What I Mean? and Don't Look Back in Anger.

Doors open at Murrayfield from 5pm each day. Support will be provided by 90s indie stars Cast and former frontman of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft.

Pubs around Murrayfield and in the city centre have been doing a roaring trade as fans flood in for the gigs.

Abi's the deputy manager of the Queen's Arms: “We’ve been really busy. It’s been fanatastic. We’ve had loads of locals and tourists and it’s great to see so many people visiting Edinburgh.”

ScotRail has announced a number of extra services operating to and from Edinburgh to cater for the vast number of fans travelling to the concert.

The railway operator also says it is increasing capacity on its services, ensuring no-one is stuck for transportation before and after the show.
