After a year of scans, surgeries and holding her breath, Jessie J has finally heard the words she’s been waiting for. The singer took fans inside her latest hospital visit, capturing the nervous build-up to her annual check-up after a breast MRI.

What came next left her in tears and, in her own words, able to 'exhale' again. In a raw social media video and heartfelt caption, she pulled her followers into the moment everything changed.

When was Jessie J diagnosed?

Jessie J first revealed she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer in June 2025. In an Instagram post at the time, she admitted she had gone "back and forth" over whether to share the news publicly, before deciding she wanted to be honest with the fans and people who care about her.

Since then, Jessie has been open about navigating treatment and recovery, documenting her experience as she moved through scans, surgery and the emotional toll of living with the disease.

In her latest update, Jessie shared video from her annual health check following a breast MRI, building up to the moment she received her results.

In the caption, she delivered the news everyone was hoping for: 'RESULTS ARE IN AND I AM CANCER FREE!! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year.'

The post marks a major turning point after a gruelling 12 months that saw Jessie cancel all US dates on her 'No Secrets Tour' and postpone UK and European shows ahead of a second surgery.

Just weeks later, she was back onstage at BBC's In the Park in Essex, performing live for the first time since her operation.

On stage, Jessie explained why her song 'Living My Best Life' had taken on a whole new meaning since her diagnosis. "I was diagnosed literally two weeks before this song was released, and everyone said, 'Let’s stop, let’s just put everything on hold', and I said, 'That’s not what life’s about,'" she told the audience.

Jessie’s most recent album before the cancer-free update was 'Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time', released in November 2025 and marked her first album in eight years.
