Saltburn crash leaves two teenagers in life-threatening condition
Two cars collided yesterday afternoon
A serious crash in Saltburn has left two 17-year-old boys with life-threatening injuries and four other people needing hospital treatment.
The crash happened on Saltburn Lane at around 4:45pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday 6th June 2026), involving a black Ford Fiesta and a silver Toyota Corolla.
The Fiesta's driver and a teenager in the back seat are in critical condition at James Cook University Hospital.
Another passenger, a 15-year-old, broke his leg, while an 18-year-old in the front seat has cuts and was treated for shock.
In the Corolla, the 54-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
Emergency services closed the road for hours to manage the scene.
