What happened to the festival in 2021?
The famous Country To Country music festival was cancelled in 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival, which had been held in venues across Europe since 2013, initially rescheduled their 2020 dates to 2021, however due to travel restrictions and bans on mass gatherings that were active at the time, the festival was unfortunately still unable to go ahead.
Prior to the dates being initially rescheduled, country stars Eric Church, Darius Rucker and Luke Combs were all announced as headliners. With the festival again being rescheduled in 2021, Country To Country shared a statement on their website reading:
‘Due to the complications of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the current restrictions on mass gatherings and international travel, we are sad to say that C2C will not be able to go ahead in March 2021 as planned.
‘In March of 2020, we could never have foreseen the extent of what has unfolded and the prospect that we would be without C2C for 2 years running was unthinkable. We are devastated that we are unable to deliver you the event that we all love.'
