In case you missed it, Pete Wicks is bringing his hit Rayo Original podcast Man Made to a live audience for the very first time on 18th May. He’ll be joined by special guests for an intimate in-conversation at Islington’s Union Chapel in London. And the first guest has already been announced: author, broadcaster and philanthropist Katie Piper.

Expect the same refreshingly honest, unfiltered conversations from the podcast, with Pete exploring modern masculinity, life, relationships, mental health and the things men (and women) don’t always find easy to talk about.

The special recording will be part of The Podcast Show, presented in partnership with AEG and suicide prevention charity CALM.

Limited tickets are on sale now and will sell out quickly. Don’t miss the chance to secure your spot at this one-off event. Plus, find out how you could win tickets for you and three friends.

What is the podcast about?

Pete Wicks: Man Made asks what makes a ‘good man’? And, perhaps even more importantly, what makes a ‘bad one’?

Pete sits down for candid chats with fellow celebrities, who – like it or not – are modern male role models, and asks them if they are worthy of their status. He asks about the traits they’re proud of, the men who’ve inspired them, and the mistakes they’ve made along the way. And, most importantly, the rules, advice or motivation they might have for other men.

How can I listen to the podcast?

You can listen to season one and two on Rayo, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music or wherever you get your podcasts.

Who is the first guest?

The first guest already announced is British author, broadcaster and philanthropist Katie Piper. In 2008, she survived a brutal acid attack that left her with life-changing injuries. She went on to share her story in award-winning documentary ‘Katie: My Beautiful Face’ and has since become a leading supporter of survivors of burns and other disfigurement injuries through her charity The Katie Piper Foundation.

When will the second guest be announced?

Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement next week.

Who is the event partner?

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a suicide prevention charity fighting to help people end their misery and not their lives.

CALM runs a free and anonymous life-saving helpline run by professionals for anyone affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts. Their website is packed with tools and resources to help make talking and managing mental health easier. They also run vital campaigns to increase awareness, smash stereotypes and change the culture around mental health and suicide.
