Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams reveal which pop star filmed scenes for their latest movie
They were cut by the director!
Actresses Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams joined Tom Green on Hits Radio to chat about their latest film - Klara and the Sun - due out this week. The new film is set in a dystopian world, and stars Jenna as Klara (an obsolete companion android who tries to bond with Josie), and Amy Adams as Chrissie, Josie's mother.
The film, which will be released on Friday 23rd October was directed by critically acclaimed director Taika Waititi. Taika has a habit of making cameo appearances in his films, such as Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit, and this film is no exception - however, Jenna and Amy revealed that he actually cut his own scenes from the final edit!
"He was (in the film) at a point and then he cut himself out," said Jenna, going on to say: "He must have cut it for a reason, and I'm not going to air him out, I don't think."
Amy added: "No, I think you'd have to ask him."
Despite not revealing anymore details about why he edited himself out, the pair did reveal that Taika's wife, pop star Rita Ora, also filmed some scenes for the movie.
"But Rita was in it as well. He cut him and his missus out!" Jenna revealed.
Sounds like Tom needs to get Rita on the phone!

Amy sometimes uses her own gifs
During the chat they chatted about texting and sending gifs, and it sounds like Jenna doesn't use gifs much! But Amy revealed that she has been known to use gifs from her own films. Speaking on Hits Radio, Amy explained: "If somebody texts me good news or something really exciting, I sometimes will send the Giselle one."
"I know it is completely 'on the nose'," Amy admitted. "And I don't know what that says about me, I'm sure I'll hear what it says about me!"
Jenna went on to say: "You have Giselle who is bright and bubbly, Wednesday is just only rolling eyes!"
Klara and the Sun is out in cinemas on Friday 23rd October 2026.
