West Belfast: Police appeal over online video involving cyclist and young child

Police in West Belfast are looking into an online video appearing to show a cyclist going the wrong way around a roundabout while a child is on his back, holding on by his neck.

The video was taken in the Springfield Road area.

The PSNI says it’s investigating a report of concern for a child’s safety.

A police statement said, “Police are investigating a report of concern for a child’s safety in west Belfast.”

“Officers are aware of a video circulating online showing a young child on a cyclist’s back and are asking for anyone with more information to contact 101 quoting 1396 29/05/25”
