Army barracks security increased after reports police intercept threats to kill

It has been reported security's been stepped up at a barracks in Colchester, Essex following alleged threats to kill a British paratrooper.
It's understood the messages were made online.
The Ministry of Defence says it's aware of the incident said to related to the site in Colchester - where two Parachute Regiments are based.
Reports on The MailOnline stated that officers in Nottinghamshire intercepted a man's online messages which concerned a paratrooper.
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson told the outlet "The safety and wellbeing of our personnel is our top priority. "We are aware of an online threat, which is being investigated by the civilian police. "Personnel are always advised to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to the Royal Military Police." Nottinghamshire Police has been contacted for comment.
