Police name "caring, smart" Croydon stabbing victim

Detectives have named the victim of a fatal stabbing in Croydon, which has resulted in a murder investigation.
Police responded to reports of a stabbing on Hesterman Way, Croydon, at around 01:15hrs on Sunday, 15th February, and along with the London Ambulance Service, discovered three men with stab wounds.
Lorik Abazi, a 22-year-old from Croydon, was transported to the hospital but did not survive despite medical staff's efforts.
His family has issued a tribute, describing him as a "caring, smart young man with a good sense of humour and his whole future ahead of him." They expressed being "devastated beyond words" and requested privacy.
Chief Superintendent Nick Blackburn noted that while this tragic incident may concern locals, it is believed to be isolated, and reiterated that several suspects are in custody to provide reassurance. Patrols have been increased in the area.
Three individuals, two women aged 25 and a 28-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of murder, with one woman released on bail as investigations continue.
Two men, both 21, were arrested on suspicion of affray, with one remaining in hospital due to potentially life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, two more women, aged 21 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of affray, the 21-year-old bailed and the other still in custody.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, especially if they have CCTV or dash cam footage. They can submit evidence through the Major Incident Public Portal.
