Officers are searching for a suspect after a four-year-old boy was reportedly abducted at Haden Hill Park in Cradley Heath.

Emergency services were called our to the park off Halesowen Road just after 3pm on 18 June.

Officers say the child, who was playing near the fish pond, went missing as his mother was tending to a baby.

He found in nearby woodland several minutes later.

The suspect is being described as being in his late teens, black, short, clean shaven and with curly hair, wearing black clothing.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said "We’re in the early stages of the investigation and specially trained officers are speaking to the boy and his family as we look to establish exactly what happened.

"We believe this is an isolated incident but we understand how concerning it is and understand the impact it will have in the area and to the local community."
