Teenager dies after Black Isle crash

Police are appealing for information after the collision on Monday evening

An 18 year old man has died after a crash near Culbokie on the Black Isle.

Emergency services were called to the collision, south of the Cromarty Bridge, at around 9.40pm on Monday 10 November, from where the 18 year old was taken to hospital.

He died a short time later.

An 18 year old woman and a 20 year old man were also taken to hospital with serious injuries, while a 50 year old man has been arrested in connection and released pending further investigations.

The road was closed for around nine hours and reopened at 6.30am on Tuesday 11 November.

Police appeal

Sergeant Kate Finlayson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this extremely difficult time.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles prior to get in touch with officers.

“I’d also ask that anyone with dash-cam footage who were driving in the area at the time review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
