Police name woman allegedly murdered at Inverness home

A woman who was allegedly murdered in Inverness has been named by police.

Miriam MacDonald was one of two people found seriously injured at a property in Craigton Avenue on Sunday night.

Mrs MacDonald and a 55-year-old man were taken to Raigmore hospital, where she later died.

He remains in hospital.

30-year-old Thomas Fraser appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday charged with murder and attempted murder.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
