Man charged after £295,000 worth of Class A drugs found in Buckie

A man has been arrested after Class A drugs worth almost £300,000 were recovered in Moray.
Police officers stopped the 39-year-old in the New Street area of Buckie last night at around 8pm.
He was allegedly found in possession of the drugs which has an estimated street value of £295,000.
The man has been charged with drug offences and is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday.
In a statement, Police Scotland also said a woman was arrested in connection with possession of Class B drugs after further enquiries were conducted at a number of addresses in Buckie.
She has been charged and will appear in court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Andrew Wilson said: “We know that drug crime is a concern for our local communities and we will continue to disrupt drug supply those involved in this form of criminality.
“Anyone with information or concerns should report these to us so that we fully investigate.”
