Inverness e-scooter crash leaves rider in a 'serious condition'

A man is in serious condition after an e-scooter crash in Inverness last night.

The crash happened at about 10.40pm on Grant Street at the junction with Lochalsh Road.

The rider of the e-scooter, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where his condition has been described as serious.

Police are now appealing for information following the single-vehicle crash.

Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist our inquiries to come forward.”
