A father and son are to stand trial charged with the murder of a man in Inverness.
David Wallace, 38, and Lyall Wallace, 21, are accused of killing Arturs Juskins in Balloan Road, Hilton on January 9th this year.
It is claimed the 42 year-old was repeatedly struck on the head, neck and body with a knife or knives.
Both suspects are further charged with having a blade in a public place.
Lyall Wallace faces a separate allegation of being in possession of cocaine.
The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow where defence lawyers pleaded not guilty on behalf of each.
A trial has now been set and is scheduled to start in June 2027.
In a statement released via Police Scotland at the time of his death, Mr Juskins family said: "Arturs was a much-loved son, father and partner who will be greatly missed."
