Ben Gannon Doak becomes one of Scotland's most expensive players

Scotland international Ben Gannon Doak has become one of Scotland's most expensive transfers after completing his switch from Liverpool to Bournemouth.

The winger has moved to the south coast Premier League club in a deal with £25million.

Doak's fee is the same amount that Arsenal paid Celtic for Kieran Tierney in 2019 and a similar amount to the fee paid by Napoli for Scott McTominay.

The winger came through Celtic's academy and made first team appearances at the age of 16.

He joined Liverpool in March 2022 for a fee of £600,000 and spent last season on loan at Championship club Middlesbrough, registering three goals and seven assists in 24 games.

The 19-year-old made just 10 senior appearances for the Merseyside club.

Gannon Doak has been a key part of Steve Clarke's side over the past year, earning six caps.

He has also changed his name following the move to reflect both of his parents' names.
