Child taken to hospital following Inverness crash

A child has been taken to hospital following a collision in the Highlands.

Emergency services raced out to the scene of the incident on King Brude Road in the Scorguie area of Inverness this evening at around 7.10pm.

The crash involved a cyclist and a vehicle.

Police Scotland have confirmed the child cyclist was taken to Raigmore for treatment.

King Brude Road between Scorguie Road and Clachnaharry Road has been shut by police.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "King Brude Road in Inverness is closed between Scorguie Road and Clachnaharry Road following a crash involving a vehicle and a cyclist.

"Emergency services were called around 7.10pm on Tuesday, 8 July, 2025.

"The cyclist, a child, was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
