A proud Buckie mum is telling us about her "amazing" blind son after a video of him taking part in a school sports day went viral.
Carli Cowie filmed 6-year-old Noah while he was participating at the Millbank Primary event recently.
After only being on social media for a few hours, the clip gained more than half a million views.
She says it was lovely to see so many strangers show their support for him and even led to someone reaching out to her for advice.
Noah "had a ball" during sports day
When Noah was just six months old he was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, which means the nerves in his eyes are underdeveloped.
He also has Nystagmus, leaving him completely blind.
Carli explained how difficult a time that was.
She said: "When we first found out when he was a baby, it was so scary and daunting.
"We just thought he wouldn't be able to anything really, we just weren't sure.
"The older he got, he proved us wrong every time."
Despite his conditions, it doesn't stop him living a fulfilling life with his mum, his dad Michael and his sister Ocean by his side.
Carli says like most other 6-year-olds, he loves soft play centers and trampoline parks.
The recent video shows P1 pupil Noah taking part in the school sports day with an adult holding his hand and crossing the finishing line.
His fellow classmates can be heard cheering him on throughout.
Carli added: "I wasn't sure how he was going to be on the day, but he looked like he had a ball.
"I seen him laughing and when I heard all the kids cheering his name I had tears in my eyes, it was just such a good moment.
"The comments were absolutely lovely, strangers being so supportive of him.
"I couldn't actually get through them all!
"It really just made my night, it was just really nice to read.
"The teachers and the PSA (Pupil Support Assistant) staff are all amazing and the support plans they have in place are working well for him.
"It's just so good to see him getting on so well.
"If you saw him going about, you would be amazed to know he is blind.
"Even when he took his first steps, I couldn't believe it.
"It just makes everything he does that little bit more special, he's just amazing.
"The way he goes about, he's got no fear and it's just so good to see."
Carli also explained why she wanted to post the emotional video and how it led to her advising someone else in a similar position.
She said: "To show that being blind doesn't stop him from doing anything and he gives everything a go, which is amazing to see.
"From that video, I actually got someone reaching out to me asking for advice as they are in the same situation.
"That (advice) is what I would've loved when I was younger when I had Noah."
Carli was asked to remove the clip from social media as it includes other children.
