51-year-old woman dies and man charged following Inverness incident

An Inverness man is accused of murdering a woman and trying to kill another man in the city.
Emergency services were called out to Craigton Avenue at around 7.30pm on Sunday night, a 55-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were taken to Raigmore hospital with serious injuries.
The woman has since died in hospital.
30-year-old Thomas Fraser made no plea when he appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court earlier today, charged with her murder.
He is also charged with attempted murder and has been remanded in custody.
Fraser is due to make his next court appearance within eight days.
