Love Island: Lucinda Strafford's mum hits out at 'disgusting piece of TV'
She wants her daughter to walk out of the villa
Love Island: All Stars bosses unleashed six American bombshells in the villa in a bid to crank up the tension, but the original UK Islanders are proving they don’t need any help at all in bringing the drama.
After Lucinda Stafford and Sean Stone decided to get to know each other more whilst Belle Hassan was away at Villa USA, things have taken a dramatic twist in recent days, with Belle and Lucinda locking horns.
Following heated scenes which aired on Monday (2nd February) and Tuesday (3rd February), in which Belle told Lucinda to "go away", Lucinda's mum Nancy took to social media to react to the 'disgusting piece of TV', calling Love Island producers out in the process.
She commented: 'That was a disgusting piece of TV. The production team should be ashamed of themselves. Lucinda didn’t deserve to be violated like that. Disgusting.
'What a horrid crowd of people.
'I hope she walks out.
'And as for all you haters… what a very sad world you live in'. (sic)
Earlier this week, Lucinda's family released a statement on Instagram, urging fans of the show to remember it's a TV show.
The post read: 'After tonight’s episode, we just wanted to remind everyone that Love Island is a TV show. It’s about exploring connections and being true to yourself, which is exactly what Lucinda is doing.
'The hate she’s receiving is not okay on any level. Please remember that she will be coming out of the villa and seeing these comments, just like her family and friends are too.
'Words have impact, and this kind of negativity is unkind and damaging. Let’s remember to be kind. Not only to Lucinda, but to everyone'. (sic)
Lucinda's family then shared another statement following the drama on Tuesday night's episode, where the 26-year-old was under fire from Scott van-der-Sluis and Tommy Bradley.
Sharing a photo of Lucinda, the post read: 'Tonight’s episode was another hard watch. Negative comments create impact and can be overwhelming, it’s important to remember that no one is defined by an hour of an edited TV show.
'We wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who’s reached out and shown love and support.
'Please be kind, always'. (sic)
Later in the episode, Lucinda had a one-to-one chat with Scott, where he attempted to warn her off Sean, revealing to her she will realise "sooner rather than later" what he's like.
With a recoupling looming on Wednesday night's episode (4th February), it's safe to say the drama in only going to increase.
