Selena Gomez reveals exciting album news and potential tour
She's been in the studio
Selena Gomez is known for her hits 'Wolves' with Marshmello, 'Lose You to Love Me', and 'Let Somebody Go' with Coldplay, as well as being an executive producer on 13 Reasons Why and 15 Candles. So, it's no surprise that fans have been calling out for new music, and it looks like they won't be disappointed.
The American singer has been speaking to Deadline’s Crew Call podcast and confirmed that she is indeed back in the studio. "I am in LA working on my album now," she explained, however she wasn't forthcoming on when we could hear the new music which would be the follow-up to her 2020 Number 2 album 'Rare'.
Selena had a string of hits from 'Rare' including 'Lose You to Love Me' and 'It Ain't Me' with Kygo. Since that release, she's also dropped Spanish language EP, 'Revelación', which reached Number 28 in the UK.
The singer's most recent song was a collab with Coldplay, 'Let Somebody Go'. The black and white music video, shows Coldplay's Chris Martin and Selena falling through the air reaching out and hugging each other, as the buildings of the cityscape whizz past them, seeming to take inspiration from the film Inception.
During the podcast interview Selena was also asked about the prospect of touring, which she admitted wasn't a priority, but she would be "open to it".
"I’m open to a tour, one thousand percent," she said: "But I obviously have obligations and things I wanna do, so when the time’s right. It’s not the top of my priority list."
We cannot wait for new Selena Gomez music.
