Just one week after Leigh-Anne Pinnock announced her pregnancy to the world, Perrie Edwards also confirmed she was expecting her first child with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in May 2021.
Sharing two black and white photos, the first showing off her stunning bump, and the second showing herself and Alex overcome with happiness, Pez told her followers: 'So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You 🌎♥️ We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!' (sic)
Sharing the same set of photos to his own Instagram account, dad-to-be Alex wrote: 'Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? 😅 so grateful and excited to become a dad ❤️ bring on the sleepless nights 🤪'. (sic)

Perrie hosted a baby shower on Saturday 12th June with her closest friends and family. Despite sharing a number of cute photos from the day to her Instagram Story, the singer didn't give away the gender.

In early June, Perrie uploaded a stunning snap of herself to Instagram, writing: 'Growingggg ☀️'.
Perrie later took to her Instagram page once again in mid-August, sharing three stunning snaps of herself gracing her blooming baby bump.

Perrie and Alex welcomed their first child on Saturday 21st August 2021, announcing the news to the world one day later on Sunday 22nd August. Sharing the most stunning snap of her baby's tiny little foot and hand, Perrie told her fans: 'Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21 ♥️'.
Proud dad Alex shared the same photos, writing: 'Welcome to the world little one 😍❤️ 21/08/21'.
Who is he named after?
Perrie announced the name and gender of her first born on Saturday 4th September, revealing she gave birth to a baby boy called Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Sharing the most adorable photo of her son wearing a blue hat, Perrie wrote: '2 weeks of loving you. I’ve never felt love like this before! Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain 💙'. (sic)
Seven months after his birth in March 2022, Perrie revealed Axel's middle name, sharing that her son is called Axel Xander - named after his dad, Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain, and presumably Perrie's own dad, whose name is also Alexander.

Perrie announced the birth of her second baby in January 2026, confirming that she'd given birth to their daughter, named Alanis Valentine. Although she didn't confirm the baby girl's exact birthday, it's likely she was born in January 2026.

Who is she named after?
Although Perrie hasn't confirmed it, it's most likely that her daughter is named after iconic singer Alanis Morissette. She's long been a fan of the powerhouse singer-songwriter, even singing her song 'You Oughta Know' for her audition on The X Factor all those years ago!
Perrie even revealed in an interview with the BBC in 2025 that she was such a huge fan of Alanis that she'd call a daughter after the singer, if she were "lucky enough" to have a little girl. Aww!
Perrie opens up about her heartbreaking miscarriages
In August 2025, Perrie appeared on Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, where she bravely opened up for the first time about suffering two heartbreaking miscarriages.
Revealing her son Axel is a rainbow baby, Perrie confirmed she lost a baby early on during her first pregnancy, before emotionally revealing she lost another baby at 22 weeks, after falling pregnant less than a year after giving birth to Axel.
Speaking to Paul, Perrie said: "I remember sobbing. I couldn't see straight. I was just distraught. We basically lost the baby at, like, 24 weeks. That was the worst day of my life."
