2026 is the Year of Reading, and we’re inviting schools across the North Scotland to turn their love of books into something truly life changing.
At Cash for Kids, we support disadvantaged children and young people in our local communities, helping to provide essential items, opportunities and experiences they might otherwise miss out on. By taking part in our Year of Reading fundraiser, your school can help make a real difference – while boosting your own reading resources too!
Raise £100, win £500 worth of books
Any school that signs up and raises a minimum of £100 for Cash for Kids by 30th September 2026 will be entered into a prize draw to win up to £500 worth of books.
There’ll be one winning school in North Scotland, and the winning school will be allocated books to suit their age groups.
Fundraising made simple
Taking part couldn’t be easier. Your school could:
• Hold a dress down day
• Organise a second-hand book swap or sale
• Set a classroom fundraising challenge – we can provide sponsor forms
You'll be supporting a local charity, encouraging a love of reading, AND enhancing your school’s library or reading resources at the same time!

Simply sign up below and make sure a minimum donation of £100 is received by 30th September 2026.
