The singer says she felt a lump by accident while watching tennis at Wimbledon
Myleene Klass has revealed she had a cancer scare after finding lumps on her breast.
The former Hear’Say singer from Gorleston, Norfolk, had the lumps checked after she noticed them while attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
Sharing a photo of the side of her left breast marked with two Xs, the 48-year-old wrote: “Girls. A massive reminder to check yourselves. I accidentally felt a lump when I was at Wimbledon watching the tennis.
“I casually folded my arms and there it was. Then a second one. The subsequent days went both quickly and agonisingly slowly.
“Three cysts and three lymph nodes later, I’m ok BUT the days of waiting meant I reorganised my life into a new set of priorities and ‘what ifs’ only to thankfully get the all clear and then experience the weird ‘reordering’ of going back to ‘normal’.”
Klass said she was ultimately worried about her children Ava, 15, Hero, 15, and Apollo, seven, if she became ill.
The radio presenter found the experience of having her first ultrasound since her four miscarriages “sobering”.
She wrote: “I have close friends going through similar experiences (at the moment) and it’s sobering, humbling and terrifying.
“It’s the having kids that anyone who experiences anything near this will know to be the first and final concern.
“All this to say, as a fierce advocate for women’s health and not hiding what’s uncomfortable, right now, check yourself and go get a second opinion.”
Klass thanked her manager Severine Berman for helping to get her seen “lightning fast” and concluded her message by reminding women to “check yourselves”.
Desert Island Discs presenter Lauren Laverne, who has previously had cancer, sent Klass a message saying: “Love you xxx”.
Gold Radio host Kirsty Gallacher wrote: “Gosh darling, sending so much love amazing lady and glad all ok. Thank you for sharing. Love you.”
Klass received an MBE in July 2025 for her work on women’s health, particularly for her efforts in raising awareness of miscarriage.
