Wolves and Port Vale investigating stands incident during match
The teams faced each other in the Carabao Cup first round last night
An investigation is taking place following an incident during Wolves and Port Vale's Carabao Cup tie.
Both clubs are working with authorities to establish what happened in the stands at Molineux last night. (Friday 7th August 2026).
Wolves won the game three nil.
In a statement Port Vale said:
"We’re aware of an incident in the stands at last night’s game and will be working closely with Wolverhampton Wanderers and the relevant authorities to establish the facts surrounding it.
"We take matters of this nature seriously and will consider any appropriate action once the facts have been established."
