A 20-year-old has been charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed in a West Midlands town.
Stephen Clarke, 32, was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning in Chester Road, Sutton Coldfield, north of Birmingham.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, West Midlands Police said.
The force confirmed on Sunday afternoon that Joseph Cargill, 20, had been charged with murder.
Cargill was remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Monday.
“Our investigation into the incident continues and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time,” a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.
“Mr Clarke’s family have requested their privacy be respected at this time.”
