About DJ MK
DJ MK is one of the UK’s most respected Hip Hop DJs and has been at the forefront of UK Hip Hop for decades.
He’s interviewed Hip Hop royalty, some of which include Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, Outkast, Nas and Rick Ross.
What sets DJ MK apart from many of his peers is his ability to rock a crowd, be it club sets, high-profile festival performances or larger-than-life stadium shows.
DJ MK was the first UK DJ to release regular, well-packaged Hip Hop mixtapes at a time when no other DJ was doing so. These mix tapes earned him his props and a slot on the Radio 1 Rap Show with Tim Westwood in 1995. His mixtapes were sold, traded and duplicated, all over the world from Japan to South Africa. These mixtapes also influenced the next generation of UK DJ’s.
DJ MK has regularly played at leading venues and festivals across the world from Dubai to Australia to Iceland and he tours the world as Dizzee Rascal’s official tour DJ.
