Alton Towers launches NEW 'sinister' attraction
It features some hypnotised workers inside!
A new scare-maze in which guests risk being turned into living museum pieces has opened at Alton Towers Resort.
Final Exhibit debuts as part of the Staffordshire park's Scarefest event, which returns from Saturday 26th September to Sunday 1st November 2026.
What happens inside Final Exhibit?
According to Alton Towers Resort, The Curator is described as a figure obsessed with preserving the past.
Inside the maze, guests will come across The Archivists, described as a silent workforce of hypnotised servants who carry out The Curator's orders.
The Archivists are said to search for new additions to The Curator's collection.
Alton Towers Resort said the collection is not made up of objects alone.
Those who fail to escape are transformed into living exhibits, trapped within the archive forever, according to the resort.
Final Exhibit will join a number of returning scare mazes at this year's Scarefest.
These include Compound, The Edge of the Forest and Altonville Mine Tours: Tiny's Revenge.
Family-friendly scare mazes are also set to return, including Trick O' Treat Town and Amigos in the Afterlife.
Howard Ebison, Vice President of Alton Towers Resort, said the new maze draws on the park's own history.
"Inspired by the rich history of Alton Towers, Final Exhibit will be a scare maze like no other.
"Guests will come face-to-face with truly terrifying characters and finally uncover the long-hidden Alton Towers Resort archives, revealing unimaginable secrets alongside our returning favourite scare attractions.
"It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned thrillseeker, or this is your first Scarefest, there's something for everyone this Halloween," Howard Ebison said.
