Four arrests made after 18-year-old injured in Scarborough pick-up truck incident

An 18-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a pick-up truck in Scarborough.
Four people have been arrested in connection with the investigation, according to North Yorkshire Police.
He remains in a serious but stable condition.
What happened
Reports were first made to North Yorkshire Police's Force Control Room at 9.45pm on Friday 25th September 2026, following a disturbance at an address on Eden Drive.
Around five minutes later, further reports were made of a man being hit by a dark-coloured pick-up truck on Seamer Road, near the Lidl store.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was airlifted to hospital.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition, North Yorkshire Police said.
Four arrested
Officers have arrested four people in connection with the investigation.
They are a 47-year-old man, a 36-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy.
All four remain in custody, where they are being questioned by detectives.
North Yorkshire Police said enquiries are ongoing.
Witnesses sought
North Yorkshire Police wants to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant footage.
This includes CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage from the Eden Drive and Seamer Road areas on the evening of Friday 25th September 2026.
