Man seriously injured after light aircraft crash in North Yorkshire

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a light aircraft crash in the Masham area of North Yorkshire.
Emergency services receieved reports of the crash at 12.21pm today (18th February).
Three fire crews, paramedics and police officers attended the scene.
The pilot, believed to be the only occupant of the aircraft, has been left seriously injured.
He was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
North Yorkshire Police say the Air Accident and Investigation Branch has been informed.
An investigation team has been sent to the scene.
