In a statement posted on X, the airport said it had take the decision ""due to significant levels of snow".

It added that its teams are working to clear them "as quickly as possible".

Passengers are being advised to check with their airline for flight information.

The airport reopened runways at 10am, but warned delays were expected to last throughout the day.
