Man charged with attempted murder following a collision in Hull

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a road traffic collision on Chanterlands Avenue in Hull yesterday (Wednesday, 7th May).

Police received reports that a woman had been struck by a car.

The victim was taken to hospital to receive treatment to injuries which are thought to be life changing.

Laurance Worvill, aged 50, of Spring Bank in Hull has been charged with attempted murder, driving whilst disqualified, the use of a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and harassment.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 8th May).
